This week the children have been reading 'The Gingerbread Man' story and had to work together in teams to collaborate their ideas for making a good raft that would float across the water, to enable the Gingerbread Man to safely cross to the other side. They used junk materials and masking tape to build their rafts, discussing which materials would float and sink. We discussed as a class that some rafts would be successful and float, some may not be as successful and sink. However, all our gingerbread men safely crossed the river on their rafts. Well done FS, amazing collaborative skills and knowledge of which materials would float or sink!!
