Commanders at the ready! Over the past 2 weeks year 3 have been focusing on the spelling rule: /u/ sound /ou/ spelling. They have learnt this rule through many different activities, including spelling battleships. The children faced off in pairs, picking 3 spelling words from our weekly list. Sneaky tactical decision making was combined with lots of smiles for a wonderful spelling session.
