Today, the children in Miss Hemstock's class experienced a Tutankhamun Day. The children traveled back in time to the 26th of November 1922 and met Howard Carter outside the tomb of a mysterious pharaoh. Miss Hemstock's class then entered the tomb and discovered the many remarkable artefacts in Tutankhamun's tomb and learned about them all.

Back in the classroom, the children became historians and helped Howard Carter to catalogue some of the artefacts. The children also used sources to uncover how Tutankhamun died (like historians) and researched other famous pharaohs.
