Science Day
The children in Miss Melloy's class enjoyed taking part in science day today. They spent some time learning about the different seasons and completing their class seasons scrapbook.
The next challenge of the day was to follow instructions to make a paper aeroplane. Once they had created their paper plane, the children went onto the school field and had a competition to which paper aeroplane travelled the furthest!
In the afternoon, the children worked in small groups to create 'egg rockets'. The aim was to create a rocket that would keep their egg safe. Once the rockets were complete, we all went outside to test them. Miss Melloy launched the rockets across the playground, which was lots of fun! We were very excited to see if the eggs had cracked or not! 😊
