The battle of year 4
Today, it was Mr Read's class vs Miss Hemstock's class in a series of challenges.
The first challenge was called The Longest Line. The children worked in teams to build the longest line. They used masking tape, sticks and themselves to build the line.
The second challenge was called Robot Wars. In groups, the children worked to encase one of their classmates in a robot suit built from cardboard boxes. The children inside the robot suit were not allowed to see. Once the children were suited up in their robot gear, they entered the battle circle. Scattered around the battle circle were cups of water. Each robot has a director guiding them around the battle circle. Their task was to guide their robot to a cup of water, so that the robot could pick it up and throw the water inside, over another robot. The least drenched robot won.
The final challenge was The Underwater Trim Trail. The children were given a cup of water and had to keep that cup safe as they travelled across the trim trail. At the end of the trim trail, they poured the remaining water in a bowl labelled by their class teacher. The most water in the bowl at the end won.
