Today in Year 3 the children learnt more about the Romans through a range of activities. They created their own Roman soldier shields after finding out their purpose. They looked at using half hitch knots to create A-Frame shelters similar to ones used in Roman camps. They looked at the purpose of aqueducts and how the transport water. They also looked at mosaics, how they were made and designed their own.
