Yorkshire Wildlife Park
Mr Read’s class had an awesome day at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. The children were always respectful and represented the school brilliantly. We started the day with a Park-Ranger led lesson on endangered animals and the importance of protecting the many thousands of endangered species around the world. We organised animals from the least concern to critically endangered, before exploring the sad reasons as to why some animals are now considered endangered. This lesson linked perfectly into our current science topic – Living Things and Their Habitats.
After our lesson, we started to explore and see the amazing animals who call Yorkshire Wildlife Park their home. We saw polar bears, lemurs, lions, giraffes, sea lions, rhinos and red pandas to name just a few!
